Rode the bus to Zagreb. I intentionally dehydrated myself since the bus didn't have a toilet. The bus did occasionally stop for smoke breaks.
Bus arrived in Zagreb bus station a few minutes before 5am. Just in time to catch the 5am bus to the airport (30 kuna)
After checking in, I bought figs and fig jam with my remaining kuna (140).
Monday September 25
There is a contingent of Australians at breakfast
Used Internet for most of the day. Skipped lunch. Went for a walk to Trogir at 6pm.
40 minute walk along the coast. Good weather, lovely sunset.
KLM notified me that there was a flight departing Zagreb at 9:05 Tuesday morning.
I hurried back to the Hotel Medena.
Grabbed a small meal of pasta. Then I figured out from talking with the hotel clerks that the only bus left Trogir at 11:30pm.
I took a bath, then watched YouTube videos until 10pm.
I walked to Trogir with my bags. I realized 10 minutes into my walk that I didn't know where the Trogir bus station was.
Happily, I was able to find it (after asking a barista).
The bus arrived promptly at 11:30pm, which gave me time to snack on bread, jam, and cheese I had taken from the hotel. Bus fare was 164 kuna.
I fell asleep quickly on the bus.
Sunday September 24
Woke 6:50am
Meditation
Walked to harbor
Bought pastries for breakfast
Showered
Caught bus at 10:05 to the airport for 33 kuna
Waited in line from 10:30am to 1:15pm at aeroplan desk due to cancelled flight
Lunch of salad, fries, steak, water at 1:50pm
Boarded bus at 2:50pm
Arrived hotel at 3:20pm
A bus of Asian tourists arrived around 6pm.
Crappy dinner at 7pm of pasta and beef. I ate with a New York finance guy and a couple from Indiana touring Europe
Learned at 8m that my flight was rebooked by KLM for Wednesday, September 27

Friday, September 22
Woke at 3pm due to being too full of food and dehydrated.

Thursday, September 21
Sailed Viz to Stari Grad on Hvar. Strong winds initially, the decreasing. Doug went on Fred's boat for the day.
I made egg salad sandwiches and tuna sandwiches.
Before going to dinner I made crackers with brie and jam.
Dinner of grilled squid. I had an appetizer of fried squid and fried shrimp.
After dinner we got crepes. Then on the boat I made cookies with jam.
Wednesday, September 20
Woke to the halyard slapping the mast before 6am. I put a bungee cord on the line as a preventer and then wasn't able to go back to sleep. Sandy was up just after 6am.
We had croissants and coffee and orange juice while it rained. Departed from Zaklopatica at 7am.
I made bacon, scrambled eggs, and hash browns for breakfast underway. I stayed below deck most of the 36 nautical miles because it was cold outside. We motored the entire way to Viz.
I walked to both ends of the C shaped harbor that we had docked in the middle of.
Dinner at the Admiral.
I talked about my relationship with Tracie. That seemed to break down a vulnerability barrier, as Doug, Cecilia, and Sandy talked about their family.

An electrical line broke on another boat and had dropped into the water. The arc was loud and bright; Doug pulled the cord from the water without getting shocked.

Woke at 6am. Pooped, showered, yoga, meditation, breakfast at 9am
Sailed, then motored from kobas to Polace. Sunny with good wind
Dinner at Konoba Calypso at 7pm. Squid for 250 kuna.

I woke at 6:45am. Showered
A boat crew across the dock gave us Bacardi rum, water, toilet paper, ketchup, mayo.
Motor sailed from ACI Marina Dubrovnik to a restaurant, Gastromare Broce, which is south of Broce.

Departed around 11am, arrived 2pm. Strong shifting winds and rolling seas. I made sandwiches for lunch, and then made french fries.

Saturday, September 16
Wandered Dubrovnik with the crew. Walked the wall of the old city. Lunch in the old city of grilled squid.
Dinner at Porto Bello. Bad service, mixed up orders, and ok food. Doug blew up at the waiter and the owner in the process of settling the bill.

Friday, September 15
Motored from Pomena, Mljet to Dubrovnak (36nm), arrived around 4pm. Bought food at grocery. Supper on board of pasta, tomato sauce, meat, garlic bread.

Showered after waking at 7:30am. Breakfast of corn flakes and bananas.
Departed from Korcula around 10am.
Lunch on board of tuna sandwiches and egg salad sandwiches.
Arrived at Pomena, Mljet, Croatia at 2pm. Ordered our dinner from the owner of restaurant we docked at. Saw a star fish (8" diameter) on the dock.
Walked around the Mljet National Park (125 kuna entrance). Saw st Mary's Cathedral on the island by taking a small ferry.
Back to the boat at 6pm.
Dinner at 7pm at Konoba Nine.
Saw a sea hare off the dock. In bed around 11pm
Wednesday, September 13
Showered at 6:40am. Cast off at 7am from Milna. I made scrambled eggs with Panchini (thin salty bacon) underway. Motored from 7am to 12:30pm.
Late lunch stop in a bay south of Loviste.
Arrived in Korcula around 3:30pm
Wandered the historic old walled city. Bought groceries. Ate supper around 6:30pm. I had shark for 150 kuna. Climbed the Cathedral tower after sunset. 25 kuna. With Lynn.
Tuesday, September 12
Breakfast in Agana on the boat. Sailed Marina to Milna, 18nm. Milna is on the island of Brac. Dinner of shrimp, scallop, 2 octopi, 1 grilled fish for 140 kuna.
Monday, September 11
Doug and Ben went to Trogir via taxi (30 kuna there, 35 kuna back). Visited the Cathedral, then castle. Avoided the heavy rain by eating a long lunch. I had fried calamari (50 kuna).
Sunday, September 10
Woke at 8am in the galley of Amadine 2. I had started out on the deck, but the wind was too noisy. Breakfast of corn flakes, banana, and nectarine. Yoga and meditation, then went with Doug and Cecilia via bus to Krka national park (bus 32 kuna, then taxi 50 kuna per person). Lunch of kebab (40 kuna) at noon. Park fee was 110 kuna. Lots of small waterfalls accessible via a boardwalk. Very clear water. Lots of tourists.
Boarded a ferry boat at 3:30pm. Rain started immediately and lasted the 30 minutes we were on the ferry. Landed in Skradin.
Took a taxi (200 kuna) to Sibenik. Bus to Marina. Dinner with crew at Agana.
Friday, September 8
BWI to jfk to Amsterdam to Zagreb to split
Bus (30 kuna) left split airport at 1:55pm, arrived in the city center at 2:50
