Quantian 0.7.9.2 DVD

• interface = Knoppix

• gfortran

• mpif90 installed, but not functional

• octave 2.1.7.2

• openmosix [needs the 2.4 kernel]

  • boot: knoppix linux24

  • To get the PXE master on the cluster, do # /etc/init.d/openmosix start

• openmosix terminal server

Problem: No DVD drive

Solution: copy the ISO to the hard drive. Boot from a knoppix CD, using

boot: knoppix bootfrom=/dev/hda1/quantian.iso

PXE same as Clusterknoppix

My custom version has

• • gfortran

  • mpif90

  • NO openmosix

Not sure how to parallelize my version

Network? ifconfig is not a recognized command
