crush 10 cardamom pods using the flat side of a knife.
Place crushed cardamoms in 1.5 cup heavy whipping cream in sauce pan.
Heat cream on stove top - low heat - for ~20 minutes.
separate 3 eggs. Set aside the whites (can be used for omlette).
Mix 3 yolks with 2 tablespoons sugar
Place ice in water in a large pot. This is the cold water bath.
Strain cream to remove pods.
Combine cream, yolks, sugar in jar for cooling.
Place jar in cold water bath.
Wait ~20 minutes for mixture to cool to 40F
Pour mixture into ice cream maker.
Stir consistently to yield a smooth mixture.
