what does eipiplusone mean?

Memes and nomenclature of this site:

  • When I use a quotation and ask a question, I leave the question mark outside the second quotation mark. This is grammatically incorrect, but it makes more sense. I'm treating the stuff inside the quotes as a variable, and the question mark is an operator which acts on the variable proceeding it.

    • Convention for this site: What is the meaning of "WTF"?

    • Correct (but not used on this site): What is the meaning of "WTF?"

    • More confusing application of convention: She asked me, "What did you say?".

      • Here the question mark operator acts on variable "what did you say" and the period acts to close the sentence.

    • see the note on email below for another example with commas

  • CAP LOCKS IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL

    • usually this denotes spiteful sarcasm

    • ALSO USED BY OLD PEOPLE WHEN COMMUNICATING BY INTERNET MAIL (email to you whippersnappers)

  • "Email" does not deserve a hyphen. If you used the term "electronic mail", then people would not immediately recognize that you are, in fact, referring to email. Thus the word "email" is not a contraction. It may have been originally, but now email stands by itself.

  • no abbreviations or intialisms. They are confusing. kthx. brbfbi

  • no emoticons. If there are any emoticons used on this site, then it's probably been hacked ;)

    • Either one should express themselves verbally, or shut up

    • How do you expect readers for blind people to interpret an emoticon?

to email me, try

"this url AT this url.com"

aka

"ee eye pie plus one AT ee eye pie plus one . com"

if the spambots pass that turing test, I'll read their email
